My Story
Maria (Mariam) Tokmazishvili is a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher dedicated to supporting wellbeing in the workplace. She offers gentle, accessible practices that help employees slow down, reconnect with themselves, and navigate stress with greater ease. Her sessions create a supportive space where teams and individuals can restore energy, cultivate balance, and bring more presence and care into their professional and private lives.
More specifically, she is a certified Ashtanga yoga instructor (TTC 200) with a background in Social Psychology from the University of Helsinki. Before discovering yoga, she had been dancing since the age of 10 and participated in ballroom dance competitions. She has explored and practised various physical activities like horse riding, swimming, skiing, pilates, and kickboxing.
Yoga is her passion, a spiritual grounding that offers balance, discipline, and inner peace. In her classes, participants write their personal yogic stories and learn to listen to the one and only friend on earth — the inner self, the inner voice. Through performing various asanas, breath work (Pranayama), and meditation, you will practice patience, self-love and gratitude. She has learnt that yoga is more than a bodily performance; it provides an unforgettable inner journey to reconnect with the self.
With a background in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for Life (MBCT-L) from the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation and experience working with diverse groups, she delivers practical, accessible sessions tailored to the modern workplace to respond to daily challenges and find inner peace in a chaotic world.
